Winter NAMM 2021: What to Expect This Year

Every year in mid-January, the music
industry gears up for the annual NAMM trade show, where new products are
announced and much more. Nearly 120,000 retailers, manufacturers, press, and a
few lucky guests travel from all over the world to Anaheim, California, for the
exclusive event.

This year, needless to say, things are
a bit different. But that doesn’t mean that the 120-year-old NAMM tradition
won’t carry on. For safety reasons, there will be no physical, in-person trade
show. Instead, NAMM is taking the NAMM experience online with the week-long
Believe in Music event. And the great thing about Believe in Music is that
anyone can attend, no badge required, and it’s completely free of charge! Now
everyone can experience the excitement, inspiration, and community of a NAMM
Show!

Like the NAMM Show, Believe in Music
will bring the industry, artists, engineers, producers, press, and retailers
together to celebrate the joy of music. There will be so much to explore and
experience. As you’d expect from NAMM, there will be a Marketplace area where
you can check out all of the year’s coolest new gear from your favorite
manufacturers. There will also be tons of educational seminars and events. And
it wouldn’t be a NAMM event without music! There will be livestreams by major
artists, interviews, awards, and so much more. You can chat with artists and
get your questions answered by manufacturers. You can even request private
meetings with manufacturers. And did we mention all that great new gear that’s
unveiled each year at NAMM?

Of course, Sweetwater will be there!
We’ll be covering the new products, and we’ve got some great things we’ll be
doing during the event, as well.

Believe in Music registration is open right now— remember, registration is completely free. On January 11, 2021, you’ll receive your personal login link where you can create a profile for yourself. The event kicks off on January 18 with educational sessions and more. Believe in Music TV, with the artist content, seminars, workshops, interviews, and more, will launch on Thursday, January 21, and will continue straight through until late Friday night. And don’t worry if you miss something; select content will be available in the weeks following the main event.

So, while we’ll miss the NAMM Show, we’re excited to take part in Believe in Music, an all-new opportunity to check out exciting new gear; interact with artists and fellow attendees; learn about music, podcasting, and more from the pros; and be inspired to make 2021 a music-filled year!
