Cherry Audio Eight Voice evokes classic Oberheim original

Cherry Audio has announced the release of Eight Voice, their most ambitious instrument to date. Eight Voice is a carefully crafted emulation of the mighty Oberheim Eight Voice synthesizer, originally released in 1977. This massive-sounding, back-breaking behemoth helped define the sound of rock, dance, and pop music in the 1970s and 1980s. Predating modern microprocessor control, its eight independent dual-oscillator voice modules could be challenging to program. Eight Voice’s unique Voice Link allows simple and powerful grouping of voice module controls, while its Focus system zooms in on pre-set portions of the UI, making sound programming a breeze.

Cherry Audio Eight Voice is available now for $49, with a no-brainer intro price of $29. It requires macOS 10.9 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host. It can also run stand-alone.
