Sugar Bytes serves up Graindad granular effects

Sugar Bytes has released Graindad, a granular effect plugin for high quality realtime audio manipulation. The heart of Graindad is the Grain Engine. While audio is being recorded, it can simultaneously be played back up to 64 times via so-called grains. Freeze, texturize or reorganize & slice your audio, triggered by transients, clocks or MIDI notes. A complex modulation system with intelligent randomizers provides astonishing results. Filters, reverbs, delays and the all-at-once manipulating Harvester complete the package. Graindad comes with hundreds of presets from Sugar Bytes’ best sound designers. Melting all the feedback into one sentence: “Graindad is an endless source of inspiration, one little sample can turn into a million of things. [sic]”

Sugar Bytes Graindad is available now for $99. It requires macOS 10.12 or later and an AU, VST, or AAX plugin host. It can also run as a stand-alone app. All Sugar Bytes plugins are available as 64-bit versions for both Intel and Apple Silicon M1 processors.
