Leaked image of possible fifth-gen iPad mini case surfaces, raises speculation as to possible feature set

A leaked image has the rumor mill speculating about the prospect of a next-gen iPad Mini.
An alleged case shot for what could be an iPad mini 5 has gone into the wild, the image suggesting that the iPad mini 5 might have a camera arrangement similar to the iPad Pro with a rear flash, and a center microphone cutout.
Speaker cutouts at the top and the bottom hint at a possible four-speaker arrangement, and there appears to be a cutout for a headphone jack at the top.

The leaked case image also features a cutout on the such that could indicate a possible Smart Connector with which to install a Smart Keyboard, much like the iPad Pro’s design.
While there haven’t been that many rumors as to a next-gen iPad mini, it would fall in line with Apple’s recent release of its sixth-get iPad and the 2018 iPad Pro units. Per noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, users can expect an upgraded processor and a lower-cost display panel.
