Rumor: Apple to release 16-inch MacBook Pro this fall, notebook will occupy high end price bracket

mardi 25 juin 2019, 13:18 , par Power Page
The good news is that the rumor mill has a 16-inch MacBook Pro notebook arriving this fall.

The bad news is that it looks like it’s going to be exceptionally pricey.

A 16-inch MacBook Pro is set to land this fall, according to a new report by IHS Markit. However, it is likely going to cost a small fortune.

Per IHS Markit’s Associate Director of Consumer Electronics Jef Lin, the firm can “foresee that Apple will release a new product [at the] Sep’19 Apple event if there’s no unexpected development issue.” The firm said the new device would have a 16 inch 3072 x 1920 display supplied by LG). It will have an LCD, not an OLED, display the analysts said. It could potentially use the Intel i9 8-core processor and will run macOS Catalina.

While these are all cool things, it’s thought that the new notebook could retail between $3,000 and $3,500, which is pretty darn pricey.

As always, stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
