Apple’s new 8.3-inch iPad mini is the only small tablet worth owning
mardi 22 octobre 2024, 16:10 , par Mac Daily News
Apple this month introduced the new iPad mini, supercharged by the A17 Pro chip and Apple Intelligence, the easy-to-use personal intelligence system that understands personal context to deliver intelligence that is helpful and relevant while protecting user privacy. With a beloved ultraportable design, the new iPad mini is available in four gorgeous finishes, including a new blue and purple, and features the brilliant 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display. Robert Leedham for British GQ: Unlike the iPhone mini, which came and went in the space of a few years, Apple’s little iPad that could has been thriving for well over a decade and that’s a testament to its surprisingly broad appeal. It’s a great pick-up if you travel a lot and want an extra screen that won’t take up too much suitcase space. It’s an imperious notepad with the addition of Apple Pencil Pro compatibility and it’s a surprisingly versatile work from home companion too. Most of this was true before the mini’s latest upgrade, and its latest array of tweaks only cement that status as an absolute delight to live with. Apple makes a lot of good iPads, the mini remains an undisputed great. MacDailyNews Note: The Apple Intelligence-capable iPad Mini (A17 Pro) with WiFi + Cellular and 512GB storage costs $949. The iPad Mini (A17 Pro) with WiFi and 128GB storage costs $499. That’s the pricing gamut for Apple’s most diminutive iPad. The previous generation iPad mini (A15 Bionic) starts at $349.99 but does not support Apple Intelligence. We are currently about 1/4th of the way to being sustainable with Substack subscriptions.
