iOS 18.3 beta temporarily removes Notification Summaries for News and Entertainment
jeudi 16 janvier 2025, 22:00 , par Mac Daily News
Following several high-profile errors, Apple in its latest iOPS 18.3 beta has temporarily disabled the Apple Intelligence Notification Summaries feature that aggregates incoming notifications into a single quick-access message. Juli Clover for MacRumors: For now, Notification Summaries for the News and Entertainment category have been temporarily disabled, and Apple is working on improvements. Notification Summaries for news will return in a future software update. In the Settings app, when a user activates Notification Summaries, Apple has added a warning that this is a beta feature and that there could be errors. For summaries that are still available through Apple Intelligence, the text is now italicized as a way to distinguish them from traditional notifications. MacDailyNews Take: Again, as we’ve stated previously, AI is the wild, wild west right now and Apple Intelligence features will get refined. In iOS 18.2 Settings > Notifications > Notification Summaries clearly states, “Summary accuracy may vary based on content.” We are currently about 1/4th of the way to being sustainable with Substack subscriptions.
