Rumored iPhone 17e redesign to bring Dynamic Island to Apple’s budget phone
lundi 18 août 2025, 16:40 , par MacOsxHints
![]() The iPhone release that is expected in September will focus on the standard iPhone 17 and the 17 Pro models. The “e” model, which was introduced earlier this year with the iPhone 16e, is on a different cycle, with an expected release in the spring of next year. Which means we’ll start to see more rumors as the release approaches. The latest report comes from a leaker known as Digital Chat Station, who has made some accurate predictions in the past. This time, they posted some details about the iPhone 17e on Weibo, and it sounds like the phone will resemble its pricier counterparts a bit more. Mainly, it could feature a Dynamic Island, which is a change from the notch on the iPhone 16e. Digital Chat Station also claims that the phone will still have a 6.1-inch OLED display running at 60Hz, a 12MP front camera, and a 48MP rear camera. Digital Chat Station/Weibo Apple introduced the iPhone 16e in March modeled after the iPhone 14, so it follows suit that the iPhone 17e could be based on the iPhone 15, the first non-Pro iPhone to feature the Dynamic Island. The 16e has only one rear camera and lacks features found on the higher-end iPhones, such as MagSafe and the Camera Control button. Apple is expected to release the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro, and the new iPhone 17 Air at a yet-to-be-announced event in September.
