That means you can get the fastest magnetic charging in a stand without needing to rig it with one of Apple’s charging pucks. The first Qi2 25W product out into the market and Macworld’s review lab is Belkin’s UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Dock, alongside two others in its family: the UltraCharge 3-1 Foldable Magnetic Charger and UltraCharge 2-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Charger. Here’s how it performs. Qi2 25W vs 25W MagSafe Apple raced ahead last fall when it announced that its updated MagSafe Charger could now charge the iPhone 16 and 17 up to 25W, up from its previous 15W rating. This left the once-proud third-party Qi2 technology a generation behind at 15W. It also meant iPhone users had few options to get speedier charges. Apple’s 25W MagSafe is possible using only a single basic wireless charger. Apple hasn’t licensed its 25W MagSafe spec to any third-party charger makers, so for nearly a year, there haven’t been any multi-device 25W chargers, 25W charging docks, or any other 25W wireless charging gadgets. Until now. Simon Jary 25W charges ahead The UltraCharge family of devices is the first third-party 25W wireless chargers using Q12 tech. We expect more from the usual suspects—Anker, Ugreen, Baseus and others—in the coming weeks and months around the iPhone 17 launch, as soon as there will be a slew of officially certified Qi2 25W products from lesser-known companies all over Amazon. As with the 25W MagSafe, Qi2 25W requires at least an iPhone 16 running iOS 26 to hit the top wireless charging speed. It’s backwards compatible with older iPhones going back to the iPhone 12 but is pegged back at Qi2’s older 15W limit for those iPhones. Belkin We tested the UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Dock that can charge three devices at the same time: iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Its charging points are rated as follows: 25W charging pad for iPhone 16 and later (15W for iPhone 12-15); 5W for fast-charging the Apple Watch (all models); and a 5W pad for charging your AirPods (3rd gen and later AirPods, and 2nd gen and later AirPods Pro). To further speed up charging, Belkin has built in its new proprietary ChillBoost cooling technology, which actively regulates device temperatures, which should also mean safer charging. Belkin claims it can reduce device temperature by up to 12°F (7°C), similar to ESR impressive CyroBoost chilling tech in its Qi2 HaloLock 3-in-1 Charger with CryoBoost. You can manually turn off the fan is you so desire, although it isn’t a noisy one. Belkin claims that it can charge an iPhone 16 from 0–50 percent in 25 minutes, and an Apple Watch from 0–80 percent in 30 minutes. In comparison, a Qi2 15W charger generally takes about 45 minutes to reach the same level—this would work out as the 25W option being around 45 percent faster than the 15W chargers. It should be noted that the Belkin-claimed timing assumes ideal conditions: a room-temperature environment with active cooling features such as the ChillBoost fan in operation. Wireless charging depends on many factors, such as device settings, usage during charging, and ambient temperature. In our real-world tests using the iOS 26 beta on our iPhone 16 Pro, we saw actual charging times from 0 to 50 percent of 30-35 minutes, still measurably faster than 15W MagSafe but not quite as spectacular as the testing done in lab-like conditions. When the full version of iOS 26 is released, we will test again. Read our Qi2 vs MagSafe feature for more technical details on testing. Simon Jary Design The UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 is very compact for a charging station, measuring 4.6 inches high, 4.3 inches deep, and 3.4 inches wide (11.7 x 10.9 x 8.6cm). At 19.2oz (545g), it’s quite heavy, which makes it sturdier than it looks. The base is wrapped in a beautifully soft-touch silicone, while the bar that holds the iPhone and Watch chargers look great in a shiny chrome finish. Simon Jary Many 3-in-1 charging docks use a wide tree-shaped design, including Belkin’s own $129 BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand. With the Qi2 25W dock, however, Belkin has gone for a more subtle low-profile approach. It’s not the highest stand, but the iPhone charging pad is highly adjustable— up to 70 degrees in portrait or landscape—so it can be angled as you desire. It’s available in charcoal (matte gray-black) and sand (as lovely as beige can get), and won’t overwhelm a desk or nightstand in size or shape. The charging pad can be angled flat at the top, and pulled out to act as a viewing stand.Belkin Also in the Belkin UltraCharge family are the two more portable, lightweight chargers that can convert quickly from pads to stands: UltraCharge 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Chargers, which we will review soon. All ship with a 45W USB-C power adapter and premium color-matching 5-foot (1.5m) USB-C to USB-C cable. Simon Jary Price The Belkin UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Charging Dock is priced at $129.99, £109.99 or €119.99. That’s in line with Belkin’s other 3-in-1 chargers, but there are many cheaper 3-in-1 magnetic wireless chargers, which we’ve reviewed in both our best MagSafe charger and best Apple Watch charger roundups. Of course, those will only charge at 15W for now. Simon Jary Should you buy the Belkin UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1 Charging Dock? This is a stylish compact 3-in-1 charger that will wirelessly charge your iPhone faster than anything except Apple’s own updated MagSafe Charger, although owners of iPhones older than the 16 won’t feel the 25W benefit until they upgrade their phone (and iPhone 16 users will get it as soon as they update their iOS to version 26). Aside from the potential speedy charging, we love the adjustable pad, premium looks, and soft silicone feel of the charging dock.
