vendredi 5 septembre 2025, 21:44 , par Mac Daily News
![]() Katherine Hamilton for The Wall Street Journal: In the lawsuit filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Cerence alleged Apple was still using its technology—including text input and recognition and voice-command monitoring — in products with iOS 13+. Cerence said it contacted Apple in May 2021 about a potential acquisition, but nothing came of the discussions. Cerence provided Apple with mobile text entry patents and claim charts showing how Apple allegedly infringed on several patents. “Cerence plans to defend its IP rights to protect our significant R&D investments and technical leadership,” said Jennifer Salinas, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel, Cerence AI, in a statement. “We have a robust patent portfolio, and we are committed to enforcing our intellectual property rights, thereby protecting our innovations, investments and customers.” MacDailyNews Note: Cerence is seeking damages and licensing fees from Apple.
