Amazon’s annual Prime Day sales events always bring some fantastic Apple Watch deals, and with three new models on the shelves, we’re keeping our eyes peeled for the first significant savings on the Apple Watch family of wearables. And of course, we’ll also be tracking any clearance deals on older Series 10 and Ultra 2 models. However, we don’t recommend buying an Apple Watch SE 2 unless it drops to $120 or so, because the SE 3 is a much better option, with an always-on display, newer processor, and gesture support.

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days: Best Apple Watch deals

Apple launched a trio of new watches in September, the Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3, and Ultra 3. The newest Apple Watch models feature 5G connectivity, battery life improvements for the Series 11 and Ultra 3, and an always-on display for the Apple Watch SE. Of course, the biggest deals are likely to be for the older Apple Watches. We’d hold off on buying an SE 2 unless it drops under $150, as the newer model has a slew of upgrades, but the Series 10 and Ultra 2 are still excellent options, especially if you can snag one at $100 off or more.

In the U.K., Apple cut the price of the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 2 by £30 and £50, respectively. Keep this in mind if looking at a deal on an older Apple Watch model as you may find that it’s not much cheaper than the newer model.

Amazon runs two Prime Day sales a year. The first is typically in July and the second in October in the following countries: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, the U.K., and the U.S.

The motive behind the sale is to encourage customers to join the company’s Prime subscription service. For this reason, the sale is officially open to Prime members only, and you’ll need to sign in with an active membership to purchase one of the deals. (You’ll find, however, that some individual deals are available to non-members.) Prime memberships cost $139 / £95 / AUD$59 annually, or $14.99 / £8.99 / AUD$6.99 on a monthly basis. New users can sign up for a 30-day free trial which can be canceled at any time during the trial window.

Prime members also get free two-day shipping and access to all the content available on the Prime Video streaming service.
