With rumors swirling that Apple is going to unveil a smattering of new products this week, Apple VP Greg Joswiak posted a teaser video on Tuesday that features what appears to be a MacBook Pro folded as a V. In a caption above the video, Joswiak wrote, “Mmmmm… something powerful is coming.” Mmmmm… something powerful is coming. pic.twitter.com/hHDYwuisJC— Greg Joswiak (@gregjoz) October 14, 2025 The M5 is the next generation of Apple silicon on the Mac. In Roman numerals, “V” stands for the number 5. And the five Ms in “Mmmmm” is another not-so-subtle hint that an M5 chip will be inside the new laptop being teased here. Apple doesn’t usually release new products on a Thursday or Friday, so it seems that tomorrow is the most likely day that the M5 MacBook Pro will be announced. According to reports, Apple will only release the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M5 chip. Because the M5 Pro and Max chips have a new design, those processors will reportedly be delayed until early 2026. However, the 14-inch MacBook Pro might not be alone. Apple is also expected to release a new iPad Pro and Vision Pro, both powered by the M5 chip. Reports also say that new displays, AirTags, and HomePod mini are also on Apple’s release schedule for this year, though it’s unclear if those products will be released this week or later in the year. So keep your eyes peeled on Wednesday morning, because it could be a big day. And of course, Macworld will have full coverage of everything that’s announced
