Apple updates iPhone Air MagSafe Battery firmware

The new iPhone Air MagSafe Battery has a thin and light design that magnetically attaches to the back of iPhone Air to extend battery life during busier days.
Apple has released a new firmware update for the MagSafe Battery accessory designed exclusively for the iPhone Air. The update brings the firmware version to 8B25, an upgrade from the previous 8A351. This marks the second firmware update for the accessory since its launch in September.

In the iPhone Air’s Settings app, the new firmware appears as 99.0, compared to 91.0 for the prior version.
Apple does not disclose specific details about firmware changes for accessories, but this update likely includes enhancements to efficiency and performance.

How Updates Work
Firmware updates for MagSafe accessories occur automatically and discreetly in the background, without any user intervention or notifications. No manual installation instructions are provided by Apple.

Automatic Update: The firmware should install itself when the MagSafe Battery is attached to the iPhone Air.
Forced Update: To trigger an update manually, connect the battery pack to a Mac via USB-C.
