Xbox.com can now launch streaming GeForce Now games
jeudi 18 juillet 2024, 16:18 , par PC World
Cloud gaming is truly impressive tech under ideal conditions. Both Microsoft and Nvidia are working on their respective offerings, ostensibly competing with each other via Xbox Game Pass and GeForce Now.
Yet despite being competitors, both companies are also deeply committed to PC gaming as a platform. In that context, it makes sense that Microsoft would use its own website to highlight games that work on Nvidia’s streaming service. That’s according to a tweet from the official Xbox account, showing off new functionality on the Microsoft game gallery (spotted by The Verge). Now when you click the “PLAY with CLOUD” launch button on a game’s profile page, you’ll get a choice between Xbox Cloud Gaming (if you’re subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate) or GeForce Now. Though Microsoft’s tweet says the functionality went live as of yesterday— as does the support page covering the feature—I’m not seeing it enabled on my end even though I should because I own a few PC games via my Microsoft account that are playable on GeForce Now. I’m not sure if Microsoft’s backend is being a little pokey with the feature update or it simply isn’t appearing for me because I don’t have Game Pass right now. Gaming
