AWS PartyRock updated with free daily usage for developers
lundi 2 décembre 2024, 16:42 , par InfoWorld
Amazon Web Services has updated AWS PartyRock, its mostly free low code tool for building generative AI applications with a new app search function and the ability to build document processing into applications.
PartyRock, otherwise known as Amazon Bedrock Playground, was introduced at last year’s AWS re:Invent conference, and the updates at this year’s event enable developers to continue experimenting with building applications underpinned by generative AI. AWS had said that PartyRock is aimed at users who don’t know how to code. Other features that make the service unique among AWS services are that users don’t need an AWS account to access the service, and that it can be accessed through a web-based user interface, rather than the AWS Management Console where most of the company’s services are bundled. When it launched the service last year AWS offered users free trial for a limited time without the need to provide a credit card. Now AWS has extended the offer: Starting in 2025, all PartyRock users will have a recurring free daily usage granted, with no credit card required. Separately, AWS said the new search feature for apps added to PartyRock will enable users to explore “hundreds of thousands” of applications created by the PartyRock community and listed in the service’s application catalog. The idea is that users can choose an application according to their requirements, then customize it for themselves with the visual wizard inside PartyRock before downloading and using it. When a user searches for an app in the catalog, the results returned also include app previews and the date the app was last modified date, the company said. PartyRock has also gained the ability to build applications that can handle simultaneous document processing. Sample use cases include creating apps for content aggregation or document comparison.
