Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: All you need to know prior to launch

Right now, there’s no other RPG that’s more hotly anticipated than the upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The sequel to Warhorse’s highly successful medieval roleplaying game, which was postponed multiple times, will be officially released on February 4, 2025.

In this one, you’ll be able to traverse an even larger game world inspired by medieval Bohemia. As the main character Heinrich, you’ll have to prove yourself through numerous battles, both physical and verbal, while dealing with some light survival mechanics like hunger and hygiene.

According to initial details, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will take up quite a bit of storage space. The actual final size after installation, however, will vary depending on the platform.

On PC, expect it to reach up to 100GB. On the PlayStation 5, it’ll take up around 84GB. And on the Xbox Series X/S, only 81GB.

Preload dates and times

Players can already download a portion of the game ahead of launch. The preload of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 starts a week before release on consoles, a day before release on PC. Here are the exact times:

Xbox Series X/S: Tuesday, January 28 at 11:00 AM EST

Playstation 5: Sunday, February 2 at 11:00 AM EST

PC (Steam): Monday, February 3 at 11:00 AM EST

In addition to Steam, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will also be launching on the Epic Games Store. No details are yet known about preload for the EGS release, only for the Steam release.

Pre-orderers of any edition will receive a bonus quest. Gold Edition comes with an exclusive armor and weapon set, plus an expansion pass containing three DLC packs (to be released at a later date). Collector’s Edition comes with a bunch of physical goodies, including a 12-inch statue, an enamel pin set, collectable cards, cloth map, and more.

PC system requirements

Publisher Plaion has shared official system requirements for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on its website. You’ll need a reasonably powerful PC if you want to experience the game at its visual best.
