How Brave wants to stop cookie notifications in the browser
lundi 28 avril 2025, 17:49 , par ComputerWorld
By now, most online users are probably tired of all the notifications asking whether to allow or block cookies when browsing the web.
Since 2022, the Brave browser has offered built-in blocking of these notifications, but the feature does not display some sites correctly. Brave’s solution to the problem is Cookiecrumbler, a new extension that uses AI to block the notifications without affecting page display. Cookiecrumbler is based on open-source code, and since the blocking is done via Brave’s servers, there should be no danger to privacy, Bleeping Computer reports. Cookiecrumbler will eventually be integrated into Brave, but if users want to test the extension now, it’s available for free from Github.
