CloudBees unveils AI-enhanced devops platform

CloudBees has unveiled the CloudBees Unify devops platform, which brings an AI-enhanced control plane to existing developer tool chains, providing a modular solution for complex software environments.

Announced May 20 and still in an early access phase, CloudBees Unify delivers governance, observability, and efficiency without the need to rip and replace, CloudBees said. The devops platform is intended to shift enterprises from having standalone tools for managing software delivery to having a comprehensive solution for complex, hybrid software environments. 

CloudBees Unify enables organizations to consolidate governance, standardize security, and accelerate delivery without discarding current systems, the company said. Unlike traditional devops platforms, Unify acts as an operating layer on top of any existing tool chain, using an open and modular architecture that connects with tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins, resulting in modernization without disruption, according to CloudBees.

Full availability of CloudBees Unify is expected in the fall. Key benefits cited for Unify include the following:

AI-driven testing and optimization, with “smart” tests that optimize test coverage per commit, and AI-enhanced workflows reducing triage time and accelerating delivery.

A unified control plane, providing a central interface for CI/CD, offering real-time analytics, governance across hybrid environments and diverse tool chains.

An adoption model in which integration with legacy systems supports incremental modernization, avoiding costly lift-and-shift migrations, CloudBees said.

Built-in automated security scans and compliance enforcement embedded in the software development life cycle.

Transparency and governance across each deployment.

Integrations with GitHub Actions and config-as-code integrations to streamline developer workflows and enable policy enforcement and traceability.
