In reply to Mike Lukic.
Really need to improve Linux in the display department, we have had high-res monitors for a few years now, mine is starting to fail, I have a bleed of light at the bottom right-hand corner. I have a Asus sound card, can't remember model, it works okay with Linux, as long as I remember when I boot back into windows to turn the computer off and not restart, otherwise I get a loud noise when the machine boot into Windows. Not that I know much about it, but I thought Nahimic was software based. So the sound chip on the board/card should still work as normal with Linux. Unless i am barking up the wrong tree.
