Google Gemini’s Deep Research Adds Visual Reports and Charts
mercredi 17 décembre 2025, 09:35 , par eWeek
Google has dropped a massive upgrade that might make you rethink how AI handles research.
The tech giant’s Deep Research feature now creates interactive visual reports with charts, simulations, and diagrams—all generated in real-time based on your requests. This launch marks a fundamental shift from text-based AI outputs to fully interactive, visual experiences. According to the announcement, Deep Research can now scan emails, spreadsheets, and chats for personalized reports while automatically generating custom graphics to match the findings. The AI determines what type of visuals work best for each dataset—whether that’s an interactive periodic table, complex bar graphs, or detailed schematics. These visuals generate dynamically in real-time, customized for each research request. The breakthrough What makes this development particularly exciting is how it connects to Google’s broader “generative UI” strategy. Deep Research’s new visual capabilities work alongside Dynamic View, an experimental feature that transforms any prompt into interactive interfaces instead of plain text. Two weeks ago, Dynamic View began using advanced coding systems to generate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in real-time, creating mini-apps, dashboards, and calculators tailored to unique requests. Unlike basic formatting improvements, this technology builds fully interactive experiences that users can click through and explore. The system can call image generation tools, perform searches, and pull external content before integrating everything into a cohesive interface. This isn’t just about prettier reports. The technology represents a fundamental shift from AI “answering questions” to “building interfaces” customized for each prompt. Google’s research indicates this could eventually automate app and workflow generation, potentially eliminating the line between “chatbot” and “app.” The race The timing of this release arguably positions Google ahead of a major shift in AI research capabilities. Earlier this year, Deep Research Agents emerged as the new standard for information retrieval, with major players pushing autonomous research and synthesis tools into mainstream use throughout 2025. These enhanced visual features are currently exclusive to Google AI Ultra subscribers at $250 per month. However, the broader implications extend beyond premium pricing. Dynamic View currently dominates the UI generation space over ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity by producing interactive layouts and tool-like interfaces. Workflow automation The enhanced Deep Research capabilities signal that AI is moving beyond simple text generation into comprehensive workflow automation. Users can access the feature through the Tools menu in Gemini’s prompt box, though the full Dynamic View experience requires complex prompts to activate. The system works best for trip planning, learning complex topics, data visualization, and multi-step tasks requiring calculations. Instead of receiving static reports, users now get dashboards they can manipulate and explore. The AI pulls information from Gmail, Google Drive, and chat history to build personalized reports with custom graphics. The real breakthrough is how quickly these visuals generate. The system creates diagrams, schematics, and interactive elements in real-time, deciding autonomously which graphics best support each finding. For researchers, analysts, and anyone dealing with complex information, this transforms how they consume and share insights. The technology is still experimental, with some limitations, including longer load times and occasional reliability issues. But for users with access, it represents something good: AI interfaces that don’t just answer questions but build the tools needed to explore those answers interactively. Google is also turning up the volume on Gemini. This week, the company rolled out an upgraded version of Gemini 2.5 Flash Native Audio.
