Custom D Class - Activator series (compact monoblock Power Amplifiers)
vendredi 26 octobre 2018, 17:17 , par Gearslutz
Introducing our new ACTIVATOR series of amplifiers.
The Activator is a compact monoblock power amplifier that can be placed right next to your studio speaker. You can match these with PMC, Dynaudio, ATC, Dunlavy, Eggleston, NS10, Proac, Quested, you name it. They accept the input signal on XLR and amplify the sound. Nothing more, nothing less. In doing so, they sound neutral and dynamic, musical yet clean. POWER output: 900 W ~ 4 ohm 580 W ~ 8 ohm This sounds like a ridiculous amount of power, and in my experience that is exactly what you need to make the speaker come alive and have it dynamically portray the lower frequencies. It just takes a lot of power, and these amplifiers deliver. Even if your speaker has a rated power of "only" 150 W, they will shine with these amps like never before. Frequency range is flat from 20Hz-20kHz, with an extended response on the -3dB points from 4Hz all the way up to 70kHz (!) * Damping factor: 1.000 * Distortion: 0,002 ~0,001 % * Power usage: about 15W per Activator under full load (this is very low) * Worldwide auto ranging embedded PSU There's an XLR input + XLR output (passive loopthrough) to further connect eg. a subwoofer, or another amp for bi-amping. Speaker output on Speakon ==>> we also build cables, ask us about them. Hand built with care in Belgium. Comes in original packaging, with 2 years of warranty and a certificate of authenticity We ship safe and secure; ask for a quote. Our amplifiers are built like a tank, using no-compromise components from Gold plated Neutrik XLR connectors to all aluminum, custom milled cases. A set of hand crafted wooden side cheeks be ordered optionally at a premium. The wood and finish can be of your choice.
