The Authentic Stereo Monitor ASM 6-3 SP is a very compact, versatile device, which delivers an authentic stereo sound on loudspeakers as well as headphones.
With the specially developed algorithms amoenus verus and amoenus externus, the AMS 6-3 SP provide an unrivaled listening experience.

The 4 different digital and 2 analog inputs offer the connection of almost any type of stereo audio source.

The aluminium housing is very robust and despite the small dimensions of 165 x 92 x 190 mm the technical data are excellent.
Especially worth mentioning is the Class-A headphone amplifier. Build without any high integrated circuits, he delivers a powerful and linear signal for headphones up to an impedance of 1000 Ohm.

This algorithm produces a gentle 3-dimensional sound image, but not in the sense of Suround or immersive. Instead, the sound detach from the loudspeakers and appears as an authentic image of the real musical instruments.

amoenus externus for headphones
This algorithm transforms the sound image of the classic stereo triangle to the headphones.
In contrast to other simulations of the sound of loudspeaker on headphones, amoenus externus requires neither a room simulation nor measurements to determine the personal HRTF.
The algorithm consists of a total of 12 very short delays with a cumulated delay of about 1ms. Thus no artificial Eary-Reflections are generated, and therefore amoenus externus is suitable for a variety of applications in the professional domain:
Mixdown (sound, localization and spatiality as with loudspeakers)
In-Ear Monitoring (no In-Head localization)
Soundcheck at concerts (the FOH sound already on the headphones)
Long studio sessions (no headphone fatigue)
