Sennheiser 8000 series NO LONGER MODULAR !!

Today I called a dealer who sells Sennys, thinking to buy a pair of MKH 8020 omni's.....AND I asked how much a pair 8000 series cardioid capsules would cost me in the future. He was shocked to find they are not being offered AND THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER MODULAR, THE 8020 AND 8040 ARE UNI-BODY FROM NOW ON!!!

Will the new NON-modular 8020 sound different????

Will it cost more???
