What the Yamaha Motif should have been

Akai has built the keyboard workstation Yamaha should have built a decade ago. Instead Yamaha built a hyped up stage piano with only a shell of the sequencing capabilities the Motif line had.. then tried to add sequencing features later when all the Motif owners had bailed. I pleaded with Yamaha to continue to evolve the Motif into this very keyboard Akai has made and they said, and I quote, “musicians don’t care about sequencing on keyboards anymore.” You had a great thing going with the Motif workstation Yamaha.
