Thomas Mundt: LoudMax
LoudMax is a Look-Ahead Brickwall Loudness Maximizer plugin with a clean transparent sound. It is designed to retain the original character of the music as much as possible even at high compression levels. The simple control layout consists of two faders, one for threshold and one for the output level; three metres to indicate input, output, and gain reduction in relation to the desired threshold. The Gain Reduction meter with peak hold marker is not available on legacy versions. There are also two buttons: ‘Link’, where the ‘Output’ fader can be coupled to the ‘Threshold’ fader; and ‘ISP’ which provides ‘Inter-Sample Peak’ detection for true peak limiting.
Features:
True Peak Limiting
Supports sample rates from 2kHz – 384kHz
Latency of 1.25ms (+ 6 samples with ISP)
Look-Ahead & Attack Time of 1.25ms
Automatic release time, depending on the input signal
No audible distortion
Possible overdrive of 740dB
Very low CPU usage
