How Different Are Universal Audio Bock Mics? 187, 167 & 251 Compared

While it’s probably not a controversial take to say that microphones sound different from one another, getting at the heart of those differences and understanding why, or if, they matter can be more difficult. We had questions too, so we recruited Lizzy Tremaine, the music technology instructor at Sweetwater’s Academy of Music, to showcase Universal Audio’s Bock 187, 167, and 251 large-diaphragm microphones, which include both FET and tube varieties.
