James Santiago of Universal Audio | What’s on Your Pedalboard?

Hot off our trip to the Universal Audio headquarters, Nick Bowcott rendezvoused with UA’s senior product manager and sound designer, James Santiago, to find out what the man and the mind behind UAFX pedals deploys on his pedalboard. But this wasn’t just any edition of WOYPB. For a proper sonic showcase, James brought out two lauded axes: a Sunburst Fender 1956 Stratocaster with a 10/56 neck (“The one!” Nick says), as well as a vintage 1964 Fender Strat with a mahogany body and an intriguing mix of pickups.
