Drumforge unveils DF-Smack drum mixing software tool featuring transient shaping and more.

Drumforge has unveiled DF-SMACK, a new plugin that is set to redefine how drums are treated and mixed in modern music production. Described as a tool that pushes beyond traditional transient shapers and compressors, DF-SMACK offers a radically different approach to sculpting drum transients and tone, delivering unprecedented punch, clarity, and energy.

Unlike conventional drum processing tools, which often require a combination of plugins to shape the sound, DF-SMACK integrates a multi-stage process in a single unit. By combining EQ, distortion, compression, multiband compression, and clipping, the plugin enables users to make their drums cut through the mix in ways that were previously only achievable with complex hardware chains.
