What is Aurora?

Aurora is a new type of delay plugin. It features left and right EQs that operate on every feedback loop. For instance, when you boost the highs on the EQ, the effect cascades, eventually leaving only the highs in the feedback chain.

Tuning the EQ can bring out an underrated aspect of tape delays—how tape has subtle frequency boosts and cuts that accumulate.

On tape delays, it’s common to hear the highs decline with every feedback loop while the mids boost slightly. We think this gives people more options in sound design that they might not have known about.

Aurora is designed to be simple to use but still immensely powerful.

Additional Aurora Features

Aurora has many additional features, such as a ducker that turns down the wet delay signal when an input signal reaches a given threshold. It also includes a tube distortion algorithm and a wow and flutter that affects the delayed signal.
