Faulty Dynachord DRP 20
Hey there! A Long time lurker here, I just picked up a Dynachord DRP 20 Reverb Unit from 1988 for 20€, but unfortunately, it’s not working properly. The reverb functions for about a minute, accompanied by a loud noise that gets louder when I turn up the output volume. After that, the sound completely cuts out (along with the noise), and nothing comes through the output. However, the LED meter on the left still shows that sound is entering the unit; it’s just not coming out.

I’ve tested all the output ports: stereo main out, mono out and tape out but none of them work. It’s frustrating because it’s such a well-built unit, and I would love to use it.

I found two other people online with the same issue, but no one seems to have a solution.

My electronics knowledge is limited (I can solder and have basic multimeter skills). I tested the internal battery with a multimeter, and it seems fine. I also have pictures of the inside, but I can’t spot any faulty components visually.

If it helps I can also make a Video of the problem.

It would be extremly helpful if there are people familiar with this problem or maybe do have an idea what it could be.:hide:
