Catherine North Electronics AES-72-2O to DB25-M Adapter

The DB25 Tascam protocol has become a staple in audio products over time.
My console,converters,7 Dsub patch bays..all using DB25 have made audio connection more streamlined.Great, except the cost of cabling is still in the thousands of dollars. Also from expensive cabling to inexpensive, the connectors are consistently poor quality. The back of the rack is a tangled hissing sea of heavy black snakes.Want to reconfigure your bays? There goes your weekend and sanity. In the midst of wiring a house as a studio, separate rooms, booths,Cat 6 cable is a real plus in cost and convenience. You still need many little boxes for turn around to your bays, console and the like. This little device makes it much easier, and cost effective. Embrace your OCD and color coordinate your bays wiring, inputs, outputs, comps, pre's. Run LONG lines to your garage chamber, turn your car into a vocal booth, the Cat cabling is affordable.Use your imagination. This Catherine North product is solidly built, and the best priced i have found. Substituting a Mogami DB25 for Cable Matters Cat6 cables from converter to console produced no quality loss that i could perceive. Also super chill to reconfigure,no unscrewing DB25 connectors once installed, just move the Cat cable. Easy like Sunday morning. A long winded review for such a simple device perhaps, unless you are a cable nerd. When wiring a studio you will understand the true value of this little device. No tax for USA from Canada import as well......pretty nice eh? *Shielded Cat6A for phantom power fellow nerds!
