Audio Interface, I need one

Hi! I’m sure this has been covered, but I gave up on looking. After many years away from recording I’m looking for an Audio I/O for my Mac. I want to record acoustic guitar and vocals to demo my songs. Id like decent quality pres and conversion. For me, I don’t want to get lost in settings and plugins. I’d rather get a good take than move the mouse around. 2 - maybe 4 inputs is all I need. For budget, under $1k. Fortunately a little more of less isn’t going to break the bank, but Id rather spend elsewhere. I do have decent mics still from years ago lol. Thoughts?
