pynamic 500 vs the pom how do each one sound?

From what i've read the 500 series squashes more? i'm looking for some drum processing for breakbeats. from the limited amount of online music they both sound like they can crush drums, but which get closer to that huge sound the vintage ones have?

I love the look of the pom, and i'm in the uk so the price is pretty good.. (not sure about lead times though, i've sent over an email)

anyone have or heard both?
