How to document your studio setup (cabling, routing, etc)
vendredi 1 novembre 2024, 18:21 , par Gearslutz
Do you need documentation for your studio or recording setup, but don't yet know how best to go about it?
Do you need documentation of your routing settings or your cabling, as well as a record of your existing cables to avoid unnecessary cable purchases? In short, a cable management system that assigns cables a unique ID and a solution for labelling these cables with a device that works both on a PC via USB and via Bluetooth with a smartphone? Would you like to calculate the energy requirements in various use cases and extrapolate them for the year? And much more... If any of this applies to you, then take a look at the following suggestion for documentation based on an Excel template. There are also some helpful tips for you. You find the Excel Template and some information in my Blog space: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/...o-setup-en-de/ I had to document my setup before the next changes will take place. It is a home recording studio, but I had in my mind to prepare it in a way so that also bigger setup can make use of it. Please note, this is not in any way an advertizement of another forum, this is simply my blogspace there. Hope I caught the proper place here for such a posting. I simply want to share this information with you in the hope that it is useful for some of you as well. Have fun!
