After 3 decades of attempts at the ideal MIDI fader box, which range from cheap plastic to "close but no cigar", someone finally got it right. The biggest downfall in even the best attempts has been the lack of meaningful fader labels; if they exist at all, it's been in a small, monochrome screen usually off to the side, so there's no relationships to each fader - and when you factor multiple presets/scenes, there's no way to remember what each fader does until you move it.
I just finished a review of the MusioTech Fader Premium: I really think this is the perfect unit for most folks who just need a handful of faders... It certainly checks all the boxes for me that nothing else ever has. It's also quickly spoiled me and made me want a full 8 fader unit with all the same features!
