What happened to Midi interfaces?

Hey,

Following a studio revamp I need a new Midi interface,

I have 6 synths that need to be controllable via Midi and as I look into the Midi interface section of Thomann I see only a few models,

I remember 20 years ago when there were tons of models available and now I can hardly find a rackable 8 channels Midi interface, what happened?? I hear you say USB happened but I don't wanna use a dodgy USB hub that makes this unbearable whistling high pitches hum as soon as I connect something to it and a Midi interface is set and forget. What do you guys suggest?
