Available for pre-order now at Reverb.com: https://reverb.com/item/57841602 New "80s-Style" YouTube audio demo: (PM me for google drive link to uncompressed 24-bit WAV files of this demo) New features for 2024/2025: -New aluminum Advanced Damper System for superior sound and durability. -Fully-enclosed internal plate frame for improved noise isolation and RF protection. -Upgraded internal Stereo Driver System (SDS) with easy access to drivers for service/modding. -Vastly improved stepper motor remote control system. -Front panel ground lift DIP switches for pesky XLR ground loop hum situations. -Re-designed to withstand the roughest shipping with zero damage to the plate. -Fast and easy damper lockdown for effortless moving/shipping; simply set decay time to about midway (3s) and you are ready to go! All-Tube Amplifiers: The internal all-tube amp is essentially an improved/modernized clone of the legendary 1950's V54S tube amps found in the very first production plate reverbs of the late 1950s. All class-A/single-ended on both pickup and drive amps; results in super thick and warm sound with lots of pleasing harmonic distortion and the ability to push the amp into some amazing tube distortion! The CVPlate-RST adds expanded EQ options on the front panel to include: 4-position stepped driver LPF, HPF (as per the original), pickup HPF, and on-board jumpers to disable the built-in mid-cut and high-boost pickup EQ's (if you'd prefer to use your own outboard EQ instead). It uses modern-production equivalents to the tubes used in the original since some of them are rather expensive and/or starting to get more rare. For authenticity, all tube-types are the same as the original, i.e. the EF804S pentode is now EF806S/EF86 pentode, E80CC dual-triode is now the 12BH7/ECC99 dual triode (pin-compatible with original tube), and the E81L power pentode is now the EL84/EL844 power pentode. There are TONS of possible tube combinations and additional substitutes that tube-nerds might want to try out! Advanced Stepper Remote System: This vastly improved system uses Japanese-made Sanyo/SANMOTION stepper motor and near-silent German Trinamic TMC2209 stepper driver for super-quiet and reliable remote control of damper/decay time. Includes RRCU 1RU rackmount remote control unit. Common RJ45 Cat5/6 cables for connecting remotes (NOTE: not network/ethernet compatible). Open-source stepper control software available to customers (upon request) for modification (literally every line of code has a detailed comment) or to add your own self-developed experimental features like MIDI or CV control: if you know C++, the possibilities are endless! The new expansion socket on the internal remote control board allows users access to nearly every single pin on the CPU + all voltages, sensor output, and remote control decay time +/- switch outputs. Expansion socket pinout/layout available to all customers upon request. CTPS PSU: The beefy power supply features low-noise fully-regulated DC on all outputs, to include the filament. The noise is so low, its actually on-par with the super quiet solid state version! This is one of the safest power supplies around, with thermal overload protection and 4 x fuses. Standard 2mm multimeter test points make this a service techs dream come true! A wide selection of plate material available to include: Brass (free) - 0.7s - 4.5s @ 500hz - Longest high freq. decay time - Medium resonance Nickel (+$800USD) - 0.7s - 4s @ 500hz - Medium high freq. decay time - Medium-low resonance Cold Rolled Steel (free) - 0.7s - 4s @ 500hz - Medium high freq. decay time - High resonance Options: -Nickel plate (+$800USD) -Jensen (USA) input transformers x 2 - optional +$190USD (50% Ni; includes mu-metal shield) For more details, check out the Reverb.com listing: https://reverb.com/item/57841602 Thanks for looking! -Richard, CVPA (sole-proprietor) Classic Vintage Pro Audio Ozark, AL USA www.CVPAudio.com
