Harrison announces Mixbus v10.2 with Region Effects
Mixbus v10.2 is available on the Mixbus product page!

For nearly half a century, Harrison has been helping the world’s leading artists and engineers to create some of the most iconic music in history.

Designed around Harrison's True Analog Mix Engine (TAME), Mixbus 10 has the 'knob-per-function' immediacy that you get from a real studio analog console.... from a company that makes studio analog consoles!

Mixbus is Harrison's response to "digititis"... the feeling that your mixes are too cold and digital.

Mixbus is available in 3 tiers; the Pro tier (shown below) provides the option for an SSL EQ in every channelstrip, and a complete and easy solution for publishing Immersive mixes for your streaming distribution via Dolby Atmos ADM format.

Our latest update, v10.2, adds an incredibly useful feature, "Region Effects"

Watch Nathan demonstrate Region Effects:

With region effects, you may add one or more plugins to a region. Those plugins are retained with the region, and your settings can be revisited later if you want to change the plugin's settings. You may also automate the settings across the length of the region.

Some uses for Region Effects include:

Use region effects to 'fix' or clean up' an individual region (perhaps using a high- or low-pass filter) so it matches other regions on the same track. This saves you from having to create a new track with plugin settings just to 'fix' regions that represent the same signal.

Use region effects to avoid complicated automation: if you want a "delay throw" on a single syllable, it might be easier to apply the delay

Use region effects for vocal tuning: Copying the region will copy the tuning effect, without needing to copy messy automation lines.

Use region effects when you might move a region to another track: region-effects are attached to the region, so moving (or copying!) the region to another channel will retain the effect without having to change your signal-flow or automation.

Use region effects for mastering: When assembling multiple songs on a timeline, you can apply limiters and maximizers to the song regions, and you can re-order the songs without having to use multiple tracks, plugins, or automations to maintain the sound for each song.

version 10.2 is a free software download. If you have a license for Mixbus10 (regular, Plus or Pro), the license will be detected without any additional steps. If you do not yet have a license for v10, then the 10.2.3 update will operate in "demo mode".

You can get the latest Mixbus software from the Mixbus product page (scroll down to the Downloads section!)

If you don't already have v10, check out our great holiday offers, and make sure to share these with your friends!
