V Doan Nebula Release - N-Mu Compressor/Limiter

mardi 21 janvier 2025, 14:54 , par Gearslutz
V Doan Nebula Release - N-Mu Compressor/Limiter
Based on a modern take on a classic valve compressor. The solid‑state side‑chains make the N-Mu almost twice as fast as the classic version, therefore, it's much more versatile than its predecessor. Developed to deliver transparent, fast and punchy audio without losing the characteristic sound qualities, it is well‑suited to tracking, submixing and mixing duties across most instruments, vocal styles and musical genres, including electronic ones.

Features:

- Program dependent envelopes

- Compress mode with soft knee, Limit mode with a sharper knee but not significant

- Variable HPF; Input switch; dry mix knob for parallel dry signal (not on hardware).

- Selectable Hi/Lo Preamps, Clipper (with Lo being the standard one, Hi being the extreme one where I drive the right channel with the left one)

- All sample rates Comp/Limiter, Clipper; 4 sample rates Preamp (44.1kHz -> 96kHz).

- Skins by V.Doan with VU and LED meter, Clip indicator.

Specs for 63% gain reduction:

- Attack: 13ms - 130ms

- Release: 100ms - 1.7s

- Ratio: 1.2:1 - 3:1 (Comp) or 1.5:1 - 12:1 (Lim)

- Variable HPF up to 500Hz

- Maximum input level: 0dB RMS K-14

Suggested chain: Comp - Clipper (optional) - Pre.

Presets are under the NMU category name in Nebula.

Free future updates for customers if there are any.
