jeudi 23 janvier 2025, 17:01 , par Gearslutz
TransAudio Group, the U.S. distributor for Bettermaker and a long-list of world-class recording equipment, is proud to announce a breakthrough in audio engineering with Bettermaker’s remarkable voice command technology for visually impaired and physically handicapped music creators. Marek Walaszek, inventor and founder of Bettermaker enjoys a glowing reputation of creating award-winning professional grade mixing and mastering software. At Winter NAMM 2025 Bettermaker, again, goes beyond the ordinary to unveil this game-changing voice-activated accessibility feature that will empower visually impaired and physically disabled music producers to create their particular sound vision. This innovation allows the user to have seamless control of Bettermaker’s hardware and plug-ins using only voice commands. Bettermaker thanks cutting-edge, open-source AI technology, as well as real-time speech feedback for accurate parameter adjustments. Created in partnership with the MIDI Association’s Music Accessibility Standard Special Interest Group (MASSIG), this transformative technology will be unveiled at this year’s NAMM Show at the MIDI® Association Booth #10302 in Hall A. “At Bettermaker, we prioritize inclusivity because great sound should be universally accessible,” said Walaszek. “Whether navigating physical challenges or visual impairments, this feature allows creators to achieve their sonic vision with ease and precision.” “The MASSIG group, including MIDI Association members like Audio Modeling, Roland, and my company, Arcana Instruments, along with Jay Pocknell from the Royal National Institute of Blind People, and accessibility-focused music technologists like Sam Prouse, has been working for over a year to develop MIDI technologies that improve accessibility,” stated Arcana Instruments CEO, Haim Kairy. This unique technology uses OpenAI Whisper for speech recognition and adds a smart software layer that determines the user's intent for hands-free operation. Real-time voice feedback benefits visually impaired and physically challenged users by providing quick information on adjustments, resulting in an intuitive and accurate workflow. The collaboration with MIDI® demonstrates Bettermaker's commitment to incorporating universal standards that promote inclusivity and innovation in music technology. Attendees of Winter NAMM 2025 are invited to explore this revolutionary technology in the MIDI 2.0 demo area of the MIDI® Association booth. Concluded Brad Lunde, president and founder of TransAudio Group, “Bettermaker continually mesmerizes the audio community with forward-thinking innovations and boundless creativity. This accessibility feature lifts Bettermaker to another level of musical production. It captures the heart and soul of all music creators.” For more informtion please visit: https://www.bettermaker.com/ Attached Thumbnails
