Today, Toontrack announced the release of the Foundational Fusion MIDI pack, a new expansion of grooves and fills for EZdrummer and Superior Drummer, performed by drummer Pete Riley.

About the Foundational Fusion MIDI pack

Dramatic dynamics, intricate subdivisions, complex rhythmic syncopation, subtle phrasing, nuance, finesse and effortless cadence – in the world of fusion drumming, it’s all of the above, all of the time. Needless to say, this is a genre that demands its drummer. In this pack, Pete Riley (Guthrie Govan, Keith Emerson, Richie Kotzen) explores this wildly faceted style by channeling inspiration from his own decades-long career on the jazz and fusion scene as well as from some of the iconic drummers who’ve made indelible imprints in the history of the genre.

Expect a collection of syncopated, ghost note-ridden and off-beat-heavy grooves and fills that touch on the entire dynamic range from the subtlety of jazz to the bombastic output of rock.
