Squarp Instruments releases the XP32 Expander
Squarp Instruments is excited to introduce the xp32, the ultimate output expander designed to amplify the creative power of the Hermod+ sequencer.

INTRODUCING XP32

With 32 additional assignable CV or Gate outputs, the xp32 transforms Hermod+ into a 16-track CV/Gate powerhouse, an expansive MIDI/USB-to-CV interface, and a versatile preset manager.

Seamless Integration

Setting up the xp32 is incredibly simple. By connecting the included expander ribbon cable to the back of Hermod+, the xp32 integrates instantly, no configuration required. Hermod+ automatically recognizes the xp32, making all 32 additional outputs immediately available.

Importantly, Hermod+'s original 8 CV/Gate tracks remain untouched. Instead, the xp32's 8 additional voices are internally mapped to Hermod+ s MIDI tracks, ensuring a natural workflow expansion without disrupting your existing sequencing setup.

Precision, Power, and Flexibility

At the core of the xp32 is high end digital to analog conversion technology, utilizing dedicated 16-bit industrial grade DACs for every output. This ensures exceptional accuracy and stability across all control voltage signals, from precise pitch tracking to intricate modulations.

Each of the 32 Eurorack jacks can be configured as either a Gate (for notes, triggers, or clocks) or a CV (for pitch, velocity, aftertouch, and modulation sources).

With a wide voltage range of -10V to +10V, the xp32 ensures compatibility with a diverse range of modular systems, giving users full creative freedom to customize their setup without limitations.

XP32 USE CASES

The XP32 offers versatile use cases to suit diverse creative needs. By default, XP32 outputs include note pitch, note gate, note velocity, and modulation, coming from Hermod+ patterns, but it can also be configured as a CV converter from a DAW, sending USB MIDI inputs directly to its outputs.

For example one track could be:Outputs for CV pitch, gate, CV velocity, and CV for a CC (e.g., CC25)J
Drum Sequence: Use gate outputs for multiple triggers (e.g., GATE trig1, GATE trig2, GATE trig3, and GATE trig4).
Modulation Only: Assign outputs to CV mod1, CV mod2, CV mod3, and CV mod4J
Generative Effects, LFO, Envelop...

All these configurations can be save/load as presets, making any setup quick and easy to access, enhancing workflow and performance adaptability.

For now, XP32 is available on squarp store only. Authorized retailers will follow this year.

Prices are

509USD/490EUR.
