The Stam Audio SA-1A is an identical sounding replica of the historic Tubetech CL-1A Opto compressor.

With larger transformers and a different gain reduction element than it's sucessor, the CL-1A had more THD, more top end and has been widely recognized as the best sounding variation by most (if not all) audio engineers.
