Ableton has released the Move 1.5 Public Beta
Move now supports simultaneous MIDI input and output. Each Track can be assigned its own MIDI In and Out channels. Pressing Shift + Track now opens a per-Track menu where you can configure MIDI In and MIDI Out settings, in addition to the existing color setting. MIDI In now includes an “Auto” setting, which activates all unassigned MIDI channels for the currently selected track. Channels already assigned to other tracks are automatically filtered out. For example, if Track 1 has MIDI In set to Channel 5 and all other tracks are on MIDI In Auto, whenever one of Tracks 2, 3 or 4 are selected, it receives MIDI notes from channels 1–4 and 6–16. Sample Slicing Move now supports sample slicing. To enter slicing mode, hover over the sample icon in the device chain, press Shift + Wheel Click, and then choose “Slice”. This slices your sample into equal regions. Change the number of slices by turning the Wheel Change overall slicing window and the adjust the individual slice points via the first three encoders Changing parameter banks for drum pads has now moved to Shift + Wheel Turn while the sample icon is highlighted. This frees up Shift + Wheel Click for entering Slicing mode. When you play drum pads, Move now also shows the start point and length of each sample if they have been adjusted. This is used to visually indicate the extents of each slice on the display. MIDI Clock Move can now receive MIDI Clock from an external device. Press Shift + Step 2 to enter the Setup menu, then click on “MIDI Sync.” MIDI Sync now offers an additional “In” option Auto Filter The Auto Filter audio effect and presets have been added. Control Live Mode In Control Live mode, Move now shows the phase of the longest playing full bar clip in Note Mode when the transport is running and an empty clip is selected. Bug Fixes Fixed issue where extending a step shortened a later step. Fixed crash when receiving MIDI while disabling MIDI input. Fixed rare crash when changing sample gain.
