HLabs unveil EQ169+

HLABS unveils its new EQ169+ Mastering Grade rackmount Mono EQ at Superbooth 2025.

HLABS is present at SuperBooth 2025 for its first time and is unveiling the new EQ169+. Already known for its renowned EQ169, which uses the exact topology and characteristics of the original Studer© circuits, the French manufacturer has expanded its parameters to make it a straightforward machine, combining simplicity, musicality and precision, for applications ranging from recording to mastering.

EQ169+, a modern evolution ofthe famous 169!

The EQ169+ is a mastering-grade EQ with increased performance - fully stepped controls, dual gain range (±5 or ±15dB), additional high-pass filter, two “presence” bands, secondary shelves frequencies & output gain. For all users who always dreamed about a Studer-based extended four-band EQ, it becomes a reality!

Main features on HLabs EQ169+: Combining the adjustable low cut filter (10 frequencies) and the low shelf (tuned @ 20 or 60Hz) to tame the lows
Two 'Presence' filters for a total of 22 different frequencies from 150 to 7.000Hz to master the mids
A very natural high shelf, tuned either at 20k or 35kHz to air out the highs
Dual gain range: Standard: ±12dB on Presence | ±15dB on Shelves
Mastering: ±4dB on Presence | ±5dB on Shelves

Fully stepped 11-positions controls behind ALL knobs
100% discrete THT components and precision resistors & capacitors for ±0.1dB matched gain between units

Main characteristics: Transformerless input & output for a transparent sound
Max level (input & output): +22dBU
Frequency response (1kΩ load): ±0.1dB from 5.4Hz to 35kHz+
0.005% THD @ 0dBU, SNR: >108dB
Input impedance: 48kΩ
Output impedance: 50Ω
