MolecularBytes releases AtomicReverb 2 - Algorithmic Reverb Plugin

jeudi 15 mai 2025, 18:12 , par KVR Audio
MolecularBytes has announced the release of AtomicReverb 2, a comprehensive overhaul of their advanced algorithmic reverb plugin for macOS and Windows. Supporting VST3, Audio Units and now also AAX, AtomicReverb 2 introduces a completely redesigned processing engine, numerous new features, and a modernized user interface. The core engine has been re-engineered to offer improved realism, musicality and responsiveness. Early reflections – long considered a signature of AtomicReverb – are now more detailed than ever, with over 190 refined reflection models extracted from real acoustic spaces. The reverb tail has also been expanded with new types such as Diffuse-Room, enhanced modulation, improved attack shaping, gated tail support, and advanced absorption modeling. AtomicReverb 2 introduces a dynamic processing section including Ducking, Emphasis, Soften, and Mono Low Control, giving producers more control over how the reverb reacts to the input signal. The newly added Reverb Hold function allows for creative infinite sustain, while Smooth Transitions ensure seamless changes when automating or tweaking parameters in real-time. The plugin features over 260 carefully designed factory presets, organized by category, all fully editable and designed to cover a wide range of use-cases from subtle vocal ambience to expansive cinematic textures. AtomicReverb 2 also includes: Internal 64-bit processing, optional 2x oversampling and resonance suppression. Native support for Apple Silicon (ARM64) on macOS. New scalable UI with redesigned layout. Preset search with category counters and quick navigation. Host-synchronized display of reverb time and pre-delay. Optional tooltips, adjustable peak meter, and A/B comparison. Integrated 5-band EQ with real-time spectrum analyzer. MIDI Learn, parameter locks, Undo/Redo, and XML preset sharing. Standalone version included for Windows users. Despite the major improvements, AtomicReverb 2 stays true to its algorithmic philosophy: no convolution, no static IR data – just a dynamic, evolving reverb sound that adapts in real time and delivers a natural spatial impression. AtomicReverb 2 is available now from MolecularBytes for the introductory price of €59 (Reg. €79).
