ZAK Sound releases Raizes Player Platform with Auralis and Nebula Keys Instruments
jeudi 12 juin 2025, 17:00 , par KVR Audio
ZAK Sound has launched a new hybrid platform, Raizes Player, alongside its first two custom instruments, Auralis and Nebula Keys. Raizes Player Raizes Player combines advanced sampling with wavetable synthesis, designed to host and enhance Raizes' custom instruments. The Raizes Player features a 6-layer audio engine, dual filters, an amplifier section, 36 effects slots, built-in arpeggiators, and a comprehensive modulation system. It offers full compatibility with MPE devices, providing extensive control over parameters. Each of the six layers can be customized with independent control over level, pan, pitch, and width, along with creative sample tools such as time-stretching, reverse playback, and random start points. The modulation engine allows linking controls to dynamic sources like LFOs, mod wheels, and MPE gestures, with custom curves and smooth transitions. For sound sculpting, each layer includes six effects slots with a palette ranging from EQs and reverbs to saturation, delays, and unique textures like RaizesVerb and Wow/Flutter. The built-in arpeggiator offers patterns such as up, down, random, and chords, with controls for speed, swing, and note length. The Raizes Player is included for free with any Raizes instrument purchase. It requires 8GB of RAM and is compatible with Windows 7 or higher (64-bit), macOS 10.11 or higher, and Ubuntu 20.04 or higher. An internet connection is required for instrument activation. YouTube.com/watch?v=-YpQoy2mXK4 Auralis Auralis is a texture and pad instrument built from field recordings of natural environments—waterfalls, birds, ocean waves, and rain. These organic sources were transformed into 33 layered textures and 25 custom wavetables, resulting in 80 curated presets that explore ambient, atmospheric, and evolving tonal landscapes. Auralis costs $39 / €35.90 / £30 but is available with an introductory 35% discount for two weeks after release. YouTube.com/watch?v=HJ_iZWxUZDY Nebula Keys Nebula Keys is based on a character-rich German upright piano, recorded with an intimate, close-mic'd approach that emphasizes soft and medium dynamics. It features two layers—Core, the main piano sound, and Drift, a gentler variation with a slightly more subdued tone. The 44 included presets span five categories: Acoustic, Arpeggios, Lo-Fi, Mystic, and Space. Nebula Keys costs $39 / €35.90 / £30 but is available with an introductory 35% discount for two weeks after release. YouTube.com/watch?v=KCe2-YHsci4 Read More
