Minor Drama releases free SendBlender mix knob plugin alongside advanced Pro version

Minor Drama has announced the release of their first plugin, SendBlender, a free mix knob for use with parallel FX chains.

The company has positioned the plugin as a workflow enhancer that enables better, faster mix decisions when applying multiple FX processors in parallel with a dry, unprocessed signal, saying:

Use multiple processors in parallel without giving up the benefits of a dedicated wet/dry mix knob. For example, insert an EQ after your compressor and then easily blend the result without having to fiddle with faders to keep levels in check.











SendBlender utilizes a unique routing scheme where either the dry or wet signal is fed in via the sidechain input, allowing the plugin to perform sample-accurate blending internally.

In addition to the free standard version of the plugin, a more featureful advanced version, SendBlender Pro, is also available. This version extends the feature set of the free plugin to include EQ and mid/side processing, allowing adjustment to the wet/dry balance in the frequency domain as well as across the stereo image. These functions augment the dry/wet mix knob concept in novel ways and enable both subtle and dramatic adjustments to the impact of existing bus processors.

Selectable crossfade curves: Linear, Equal Power, & Maximum Amplitude.
Unique signal routing scheme via sidechain input for maximum DAW compatibility. Either wet or dry signal can be routed via sidechain input.
Blend level can be set directly or by entering desired wet/dry attenuation.
Bypass switch routes dry signal only to the plugin output.

Pro version only:

3 channel cut-only EQ allows selectively reducing wet signal in targeted frequencies.
Dry boost circuit compensates for cuts with boosts in the dry signal to maintain overall frequency balance, effectively providing spectral dry/wet mix control.
Make up gain can be applied manually or automatically to manage changes to loudness due to EQ adjustments.
Modern TPT filters built for artifact-free automation.
Optional linear phase 2x oversampling can be enabled to de-cramp high frequencies.

Both SendBlender and SendBlender Pro are available now in VST3 and AU formats for macOS and Windows. The standard version is free. The pro version can be purchased for an intro price of $30 (regular $50) and is also available for a 30-day trial with no feature restrictions.
