FMJ-Software updates Awave Studio to v12.10

mercredi 13 août 2025, 09:55 , par KVR Audio
FMJ-Software has updated Awave Studio, their multi-purpose instrument and audio editor and file format converter, to v12.10. New features: Added support for reading and writing Yamaha MODX files (.X8U/.X8L/.X8A), Yamaha Montage files (.X7U/.X7L/.X7A), and Yamaha MOXF files (.X6V/.X6W/.X6A). Also improved the conversion of Yamaha Motif XS (.X0V/.X0W/.X0A) and Motif XF (.X3V/.X3W/.X3A), now including many send and insert effects. There is also (untested) support for reading Yamaha Montage M files (.Y2U/.Y2L/.Y2A). Added support for reading E-Mu Emulator III/IIIx CD-ROMs. The MIDI recording tool is now displayed in the property pane and has received its own toolbar button. MIDI events are now shown in an event list as they are recorded. New features also include an option to record from a specific MIDI channel (or from All), and auditioning, metronome, tempo, resolution, and song name settings. If the metronome is enabled, beat clicks are played while you record. If it is disabled, it will try to do a crude estimation of the played tempo when you stop recording. A Save button converts the recorded MIDI events to a MIDI song, using the indicated resolution (ticks/beat) and tempo (beats/minute). The Audio recording tool is now displayed in the property pane and has received its own toolbar button. It now consists of just two tabs, with the setup gathered on the first, and recording and post-processing on the second. You now get to see a visual view of a split wave when you select it in the recorded waves list. You can now drag and drop waves that you want to keep from the recorded list to the waveforms pane. The Create instrument tool is now also displayed in the property pane. It has a new list showing all available waveforms, from which you can select which ones to use with the Auto-create regions option. New are also options to set waveform root key overrides and center velocities to help with creating key splits and velocity layers. A Search and replace text processing function is now available for instrument items as well as songs and waveforms, with options to search and replace in text meta data, waveform marker names, and item names. MIDI tracks now show event times as <beat.tick> instead of the accumulated total ticks. Read More
