Soniccouture releases Polarity | Tension: Dual Granular Engine

Soniccouture is pleased to announce Polarity: a new, dual-granular sampler engine which heralds the start of a series of instruments exploring the granular synthesis space.

The first instalment in this series is Polarity | Tension, developed in collaboration with creative audio team K/V (Ramon Kerstens and Richard Veenstra).

Built entirely from recordings of industrial machinery, extended string techniques, abstract vocalizations, and environmental resonances, Polarity | Tension offers a palette that feels intentional, unstable, and alive with detail.

The four macros Grain, Character, Movement, and Space provide fast, expressive control over the instrument’s sound. They come pre-mapped to NKS for each snapshot but can also be reassigned to control any parameter the user chooses. Not so much a collection of presets, more a set of curated sonic vignettes.
